There are plenty of events and festivals that go on in the Toronto area, but some of the best ones go on during the summer months. These activities are the perfect way to get outside with your friends and family and enjoy the summer weather. I have found 3 of the best activities that go on during the Toronto summer that you and your friends must try! Toronto Flower Market

The Toronto Flower Market takes over 1001 Queen street once a month to bring all of Ontario’s local flora and fauna to our community. There are currently three dates left for the TFM: August 12, September 9, and October 7. Each of these days land on a Saturday and the market runs from 10am-3pm, so this is the perfect weekend activity. There is no ticket purchase necessary, and you can find street parking or paid lots near by.

At the market, you’ll be able to browse over 40 flower and plant vendors and over 15 food and accessory vendors. With the large variety of vendors, there is something here for everyone. From fresh-grown sunflowers, to pressed flowers, succulents and more, you will definitely enjoy this wonderful market that is pleasing to the eye. You can also bring your furry friends with you to enjoy the market as well!

Toronto Outdoor Picture Show

The Toronto Outdoor Picture Show is an amazing opportunity to enjoy your favourite movies in a whole new setting. This event offers a wide variety of films played all over Toronto. You can see the Truman Show at Corktown Common, E.T or Jumanji at Bell Manor Park, or The Wizard of Oz at Christie Pits Park. Most of these films have free admission and require no ticket. All you need to bring is your own blanket, chairs and snacks, and you’re all set to watch your favourite movies in some of the best Toronto locations.

The CNE

The Canadian National Exhibition is an event that goes on every year right in Exhibition Place close to downtown Toronto. This event s has so much to offer, you will definitely be able to find something you love here. The CNE offers air shows, carnival rides, music, a casino, and all the food and drinks you could imagine.

The CNE runs from August 18 – September 4, and offers two different admission options. The first is the Advance Sale Admission Pass which costs $20 and gives access to the grounds and all the shows and events the CNE offers. The second is the Advance Sale Ride Pass. This pass costs about $43 and includes all aspects of the admission pass, as well as unlimited rides.
