Living Realty is proud to announce the start of our 7th annual Thanksgiving food drive, aimed at raising vital food supplies and money for those in need in our community.
The goal of the drive is to collect both non-perishable food donations and monetary donations for the benefit of the Daily Bread Food Bank. Every year we strive to collect as many donations as we can in order to support those in need, and this year our goal is to collect 2,500Ib of food.
We know it can be a struggle for some of our community members to afford basic needs such as food, so we appreciate the generosity of those who can donate what they can. If you’re not sure what food to donate, the Daily Bread Food Bank website has a list of items that they need the most. These include canned fish, fruit, or vegetables, canned soup, oatmeal, nut butters, baby food and formula, rice, grains, pasta and more.
Where Can You Bring Your Food Drive Donations?
All five of our Living Realty branch locations will be accepting food donations near the front desk from September 5 up until October 3. This includes our Markham head office location, North Markham, North York, downtown Toronto and Central Mississauga. If you wish to make a donation to the food drive, please call in to one of our branches and our friendly front-office staff will be happy to assist you.
This year, Living Realty pledges to donate $2 per pound of food brought to any of the Living Realty locations. We will also donate $2 per $1 donated through the online donation page. Overall we pledge to make a minimum donation of $5000, providing much-needed additional funds to those in need in our community. This follows on from our 2022 food drive when we made a similar donation pledge.

All Living Realty Branches are open on weekdays from 9AM-9PM and from 9AM-5PM on weekends. If you can’t make it in person, no need to worry! We have set up an online donation page for people to be able to contribute to the drive even if they can’t make it to one of our locations.
