If you’re looking for ways to fill your weekends with fun activities and friends, you will be able to find them in VMC. Every summer, Vaughan hosts their Concerts in the Park series in Transit Square at 100 New Park Place. A majority of these performances are cover bands and tribute performances.
Some of the most popular ones from this summer include tributes to The Beatles, Queen, Elvis and even a live performance by Shawn Desman. If you’re a music lover and looking for new ways to get outside, I would definitely recommend the VMC Concerts in the Park series.
Another exciting event that happens every year in VMC is Vaughan Con. Located to the north of VMC, Vaughan Con is a convention where pop culture lovers can come together and participate in a variety of activities. There are photo booths, gaming areas, hair studios, face painting, and you can even visit the Luxury Tattoo Bus to get some new ink. You can’t forget about the wide variety of food vendors too. Enjoy some ice cream, funnel cakes, Japanese street food, and more.
Restaurants
Vaughan Metropolitan Centre is a great neighbourhood if you’re looking to try some new food. The first restaurant I would recommend trying is 168 Sushi. This place is an ‘all you can eat’ style restaurant where you can literally try everything on the menu. If you’re not into seafood, this buffet also has a wide selection of chicken, beef, and vegetarian Japanese dishes.
If you’re more in the mood for Italian food, I would head to Giro D’Italia Ristorante. This restaurant serves some classic Italian dishes such as wood fired pizza and a variety of pasta dishes. For all the coffee lovers out there, Aroma Espresso Bar is a great café to stop by at. Enjoy one of their specialty hot or iced coffee drinks, or even bring your friends and family to enjoy a delicious breakfast.
Schools & Educations
There are a variety of schools located all throughout Vaughan that have been acclaimed for their great education and ample opportunities to get involved in teams and clubs. Whether you are looking to send your little one to their first day of daycare, or your oldest to their first day of high school, you can find a great school in VMC. Some of the closest schools include Vaughan Montessori School, Maple Creek Public School, and Vaughan College High School.
